The name Nicholas Sparks has very well been associated with pure and unadulterated love stories. This book is no exception as it covers up the similar spectrum, but in a different platform compared to his previous books. The prologue sets up the tone for what is to arrive in this romantic novel. The protagonist of this novel,Travis Parker, who can be described as the embodiment of hedonism,is a very jolly person who enjoys his life to the very core.He is a vet and his life can be described as a very enviable one apart from the fact that he is single and he has got an irritating younger sister named Stephanie. But things start changing quickly as Gabby Holland, a 26 year old medical assistant moves next door.Gabby tries to avoid her new neighbor  at first, although she admires a lot of perspectives of Travis ‘s life and personality. The two accidentally were compelled to meet and talk to each other due to some incidents revolving their dogs. This soon turns out to be a very inspiring and emotional love story ,as they were deeply mesmerized by each other. But very soon,Gabby suffers from an accident and becomes comatose. The doctors were hopeless about her and Travis was told that she will never ever awaken.Travis was compelled to make the choice between taking Gaby out of life support or pushing her to long term care, knowing the fact that  she may never wake up.He decides to move her to long term care and surprisingly Gabby woke up from her coma after 3 months, and moved back into their house.
Although not a stereotypical Sparkssque novel when the finishing is concerned, but the Novel contains the very essence of love, which is always patient, kind and always takes the delight in the utmost truth. This novel also delineates the fact that pure romantic love is neither conceited, nor resentful and is always ready to trust,to hope and to endure whatever comes. This novel binds us with the very question that how far someone can keep the hope of love alive. As a whole, this is another perpetual masterpiece of Sparks and deserves rigorous admiration.

Marriage and Morals - Bertrand Russell

Date- 5 June, 2017 Title - Marriage and Morals Author - Bertrand Russell Published on - 1929   Genre - Non-fiction   The book is enthralling enough to hold the attention of the readers throughout .Russell delineated the evolution of sexual and marital ethics of the Europeans largely and compared these ethics and morals with that of the so called uncivilized savages of the Pacific Islands in the first part of the book. European sexual and marital morals are largely influenced and shaped by the moral obligations of the Abrahamic religions like Christianity and Judaism, as well as the traditions of the ancient Greco-roman society. Russell ridiculated the Christian dogma which considers sex to be a gross deed and aspires for a society which no longer would adhere to the prejudices imposed by the Church. The book is mainly written on the perspective of the Victorian Britain and scrutinizes the notions prevalent in the then society about sex, love and marriage. Russel...
